Joey was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended Parkway Central High School. In 2007, Joey was named a Scholar Athlete by the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Following high school, Joey attended Arkansas State University on a baseball scholarship before graduating with honors from the University of Missouri in 2011, and Mizzou’s School of Law in 2014, where he was on the Dean’s List throughout his academic career.

Prior to joining NGK, Joey served as insurance defense counsel for numerous Fortune 50 companies and defended cases involving wrongful death, commercial motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, sexual assault, general personal injury claims, workplace claims including discrimination, harassment, and hostile work environment, medical malpractice, and product liability resulting in serious injury.

Throughout his decade of experience practicing personal injury defense, Joey gained unique insight into the internal operations of insurance companies and claims handling and adjusting. Joey’s knowledge of navigating the complex bureaucracies of these giant insurance companies provides an incredible asset to NGK.

Joey is licensed to practice law in both State and Federal Court throughout Missouri and Illinois.

Joey currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with his wife, Alex, and two children, Luke and Riley. Joey enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and being outdoors.
